ABOUT JILLIAN

Jillian Wessel is a New England native who grew up with her three sisters, parents, and grandmother in the woods of rural New Hampshire. She has been writing for as long as she can remember, completing her first 80-page book at the age of ten.

A graduate of Emerson College, where she studied Theatre Performance and Playwriting, Jillian later earned her Master of Arts in Applied Theatre from CUNY.

​

After a decade in a successful business career, Jillian has returned to her creative roots as a writer. She is currently at work on her debut novel, Good Pretty Mothers, and publishes op-eds, essays, and poetry that explore contemporary social and political themes.

Jillian lives with her husband and two children in Petersham, Massachusetts.
